Tom Webb is a nationally-renowned expert on life insurance who has worked in the industry for over 48 years. Tom is widely considered a pioneer in the insurance industry who helped develop many of the life insurance products we all use today.
Tom’s financial expertise and mentoring are highly influential across the country, and he has worked with numerous top advisors as well as regional managers for well-known carriers. He is credited with solving thousands of complex financial problems and generally considered a master of how to package the “tough cases,” especially those involving factors such as capacity, multi-life, and underwriting. Despite retiring twice, he has returned to the industry on both occasions based on his love for mentoring others and sharing his expertise. He is fond of telling stories from his almost fifty years in the life insurance industry and those who speak with him are often treated to history and anecdotes as well as humor, wisdom, and invaluable advice.
Tom is the President, CEO, and Advanced Underwriting Consultant of Webb Agency, Inc. He previously served as the Regional Director for the Western Region for Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company from 1997 to 2011. In this role, he was responsible for recruiting and developing producers in the states of Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.
As an established industry leader in sales management, Tom has been recognized with several company awards, including the prestigious National Chairman’s Award for three consecutive years. He is also active in industry organizations and is a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting. He is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table and also a consistent recipient of the National Management Award and Master Agency Award from the General Agents’ and Managers’ Association.
Tom holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from UCLA. He earned his Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 1970 and the Chartered Financial Consultant designation in 1983. He resides in Vancouver, Washington, with his wife, and also has a home in Salem, Oregon.
